This is the current state of social media today.
Social media used to be a place where you share your memorable moments and happy place. Today consists of unattainable, if not fake, lifestyle and photo edits (not saying all, but most). It used to be a world full of colors, dreams, and everything beautiful. Today it’s all about ads, ads, and more ads. Sometimes, it’s a place full of hatred in a proud public display of sarcasm, profanity, and bad behavior, hiding behind anonymous handles.
Are these things real or fake? Are they honest insights or paid sponsorships? Are they real influencers or made-up (what influence do they have, and how do they influence)? Do they really have millions of followers and likes, or are they bots and pods? What legacy are we leaving behind?
To become successful in social media or just about anything in life, we need to have authenticity, integrity, and respect.
